Arash Markazi and producer Ji Hae Wiley talk about the Lakers winning their first championship in a decade and the franchise’s 17th overall and why it was arguably the hardest road to a championship in league history. After earning home court advantage, the Lakers were forced to play the postseason in the Orlando bubble and away from their homes for about 100 days. They now return to Los Angeles as champions. In a year where everything has gone wrong, things for a moment are finally right in the world. The Los Angeles Lakers are the NBA champions.

I don’t agree it was the most difficult. Maybe with the pandemic the environment was tough but it wreaks of Lebron’s MO. Break the bank, give him a super team and he can get one. The only way he’s ever gotten one. Level of difficulty is when Kobe won two with one superstar (Pau) and a supporting cast. That’s a tough one and he got two because he willed his teams to win superstar packed or not. The asterisk should stand on this one.
